Let me introduce myself.

My name is Dr. Ashleigh Woods, and I am a licensed psychologist and Health Service Provider in the State of Indiana. I received my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2011. I have trained and practiced in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, community mental health, university counseling centers, inpatient settings, and residential and intensive outpatient treatment settings.

I work with women and men from diverse backgrounds, specializing in trauma, relationships, anxiety, and perinatal mental health. I am a certified perinatal mental health specialist through Postpartum Support International. I work with patients in individual, couples, and family therapy. My therapeutic approach is a blend of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral traditions. I help patients to create an open and nonjudgmental space to explore their concerns and expand their possibilities in the face of difficult experiences or circumstances.

I serve as a Past President of the Indiana Psychological Association and current member of IPA's Governmental Affairs Committee. I was honored to be presented with the Indiana Psychological Association's "Distinguished Contributions by an Early Career Psychologist" award at the 2018 IPA Fall Conference. I am also a Past President for the Indiana Society for Psychoanalytic Thought, the local chapter of Division 39 (Psychoanalysis & Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy) of the American Psychological Association.
